Coordination Tool <<<
This year (2008), we at Meyerholz are
piloting a new on-line volunteer coordination tool called
PTO Manager. PTO
Manager provides an easy means for matching your interests with the needs
of the school administration, the teachers and parent organizations (PTA
and CLIPCO). It also facilitates communication with our volunteers
via email. Go ahead and sign up now...
It's as Simple as

Volunteers (that's you) register by
going to http://www.meyerholz.ptomanager.com. Look in the "lower right hand corner" where it
says: "New PTO Manager User?" and
"click to register". You will then be asked to enter your email and
create a password. |

Follow three easy steps (once you
are registered) to add your information to the PTO Manager Meyerholz
database. |

Step 1 -
Enter Volunteer Information |

|
You will be asked
for information about yourself, including name, email, address and phone
number. If you prefer not to provide all this information, the most
important information is your name and email address. In most cases,
you will be contacted by email regarding volunteer needs. |

Step 2 -
Select Volunteer Interests |
|

|
Select from a list
of volunteer needs specific to our school . You can also indicate when
you are available to help. |

Step 3 -
Fill in Student
Information |

Click on the prompt
for step 3, when the next screen pops up, click on "new student".
Enter your student’s name and click on the pull-down menu to indicate
your student’s class. If you have more than one student at Meyerholz,
repeat this process by clicking on "new student" again. When you have
completed step 3 for each of your children, press the save button on the
bottom right hand corner to complete the 3-step process. |

If you have difficulty with the
registration process, contact
Karen our Volunteer Coordination for Meyerholz this year.
If you prefer, you can complete a hard copy of the volunteer interest
form (the blue form in your First Day packet) and return the form to
the school office. We will enter the information into the system on
your behalf. |

PTO Manager
has been used for several years
by other Cupertino Union School District schools,
including Stocklmeir Elementary School and Cupertino Middle School, and
has been highly recommended. It was created by PTO, an association
of independent parent-teacher organizations at schools around the country
with similar purpose/goals as PTA. PTO Manager allows parent
organizations to simplify the process of recruiting volunteers for various
school functions.
PTO Manager provides only one system
administrator for the school. Certain PTA and CLIPCO board members will
have limited access to the database on a need-to-know basis and as
authorized by the system administrator. The information included in the
database will not be published in any form and is not accessible by other
schools or the PTO organization. Only authorized Meyerholz users will be
able to access our information.
