As we enter
into our seventh year web mastering our school website, we've carried over
some important changes from last year and are implementing some new ones
this year. In the middle of last year we took a huge "green" step and
stopped printing 700+ copies of our weekly school bulletin (The Bulldog) -
by rough count, that's equivalent to nearly 15,000 copies! This
year, we hope to save more than 25,000 printed copies!
Instead of
printing all those copies, we've asked families to visit this site and read
the Bulldog online. To facilitate this new process, we've set up a school
email distribution list (Meyerholz Messages) to inform families when a new
bulletin is posted and also to keep them informed about important school
announcements and events. We pledge to use this distribution list for
official school communications only and never rent or sell it.
Don't be
left out, sign yourself up for our
school
email list and click on "sign me up".
Throughout
the year we will continue to look for ways to reduce costs and increase our
use of online communications. Our goal
has been and remains to provide easy to find, useful, accurate,
and timely information to our school community in electronic format, while
also striving to reduce the amount of cost to our organization.
